For energy employers

A new carrier, a deal, a sale. Benefits that keep up.

Three moments change an energy company's benefits more than any renewal: switching carrier or broker, bringing an acquired company's crews across, and getting ready for a buyer's diligence. Each starts on a date, and the questions start long before it. Roscoe answers each person from their own record, and keeps every step dated.

Changing carrier or broker

Change carriers without the confusion.

The new plan starts on a date; the questions start months before. Will my doctor still be covered? Who pays for the scan I've booked for December? Which card do I show? Each lands on HR, who forwards it to the broker. Roscoe answers each person from their own dated enrollments and both plans' schedules, and dates every step HR and the broker owe.

  • What changes for me

Old and new plan side by side, line by line: what's different, what's new, what's gone.

  • Who pays on which date

"Who pays for my treatment on December 20?" answered from the plan that covered that day, and which insurer to claim from before and after the switch.

  • Whose card to show

From the last week before the move, whose card to show and from when, and the old card's last day.

  • The switch plan

Ten steps from 60 days before the move to the first bill, each with its owner (HR, the broker, payroll or Roscoe), dated back from the day the new plan starts.

  • Changing broker too

Requests go to the new broker's mailbox with a case reference from the day you say. The old broker's record stays on file.

  • Nobody falls through

Anyone not enrolled on the new plan stays on HR's list, next to the HR system, until they are; the first bill is checked against who's enrolled.

What changes for me.

The product's own answer, from the demo, for a fictional employer whose dental plan moves to a new insurer on January 1: the two plans side by side, and which insurer to claim from when.

  • From their own dated enrollments
  • A plan merely ending is never announced
  • In the app or on WhatsApp

After an acquisition

Bring the acquired crews across. Keep everyone covered.

The deal closes on a date; the benefits move on another. Until then two programmes run side by side, with two insurers, often two brokers and two renewal dates, and then everyone has to land on the right plan on the right day, with their family, while they're still rotating on and off site.

  • Who's on which plan

Both teams' enrollments on record, next to the HR system, so leavers still covered and people never added are a list, not a surprise.

  • Treatment in progress

Someone pregnant or mid-treatment gets continuity of care explained, and the request drafted with blanks, in the secure app. The new insurer decides.

  • Joiners, leavers and moves from a spreadsheet

Each row waits in one review queue before anything changes, and new joiners are emailed to your broker once HR has every detail.

  • Every step, dated

The same switch plan, with the broker's steps on their commitments, so the Monday brief shows what's late.

Preparing for a sale

Benefits a buyer can check.

In diligence, benefits are a list of questions: what's in force, who's covered, whether the bills match, how renewals were decided. A leaver still covered for a year, or an invoice for more people than are enrolled, is small on its own and a liability on a buyer's list. Roscoe keeps the answers as you go, and prints them as a benefits pack for the data room.

  • The benefits pack

Every plan in force with its documents, who is covered, invoices against enrollment, renewals and decisions, the broker's record and US federal dates. Counts and records only.

  • Invoices against enrollment

Each invoice checked against the people and family enrolled at the start of its period: billed for more, for fewer, or matching.

  • Renewals on the record

Each renewal starts with the broker 120 days out, with every insurer approached visible and HR's decision recorded.

  • The broker's record

Every duty agreed with the broker, due and done, over 90 days. Evidence, not impressions.

For 3 people working in the US. The rules most US employers work to; the broker or counsel confirms what applies.

Made by Roscoe from the employer's own records on the day it was opened. Roscoe isn't an insurer, broker or adviser; the policies and the insurers' documents are the terms.

Read fresh, every time it's opened.

The pack itself, built by the same code HR's page uses, from a fictional employer's demo records. Nobody being assessed writes it: it's assembled from the record, and what isn't connected is said rather than left blank.

  • Plans and documents, coverage, invoices, renewals, the broker
  • US federal dates when people work there
  • No one's name, conversation, claims or health

What we do, and what we don't

We make the change understood, and keep the record.

Roscoe does

  • Answers each person from their own record and the plans' documents
  • Dates every step and shows whose is late
  • Checks invoices and the first bill against who's enrolled
  • Keeps the record a buyer asks for, as you go

Roscoe doesn't

  • Choose the insurer or advise on cover: that's your broker
  • Check a provider network itself
  • Decide claims or continuity of care: that's the insurer
  • Value the business or predict premiums

Questions

Before you ask.

Anything else, ask us directly.

Does Roscoe choose the new insurer?

No. Your broker runs the market review and HR decides. Roscoe starts the renewal with the broker 120 days out, shows every insurer approached, and records the decision.

Can Roscoe tell someone whether their doctor is in the new network?

Not itself. It says what to ask the new insurer, with the plan number and the date, and points to the insurer's own directory where we have it.

Can we keep their broker, or ours?

Either. Requests go to the broker's mailbox; brokers never sign in. If the broker changes, requests go to the new one's mailbox from the day you say, and the old broker's record stays on file.

Can the acquired team use Roscoe before they move?

Yes. Each person is answered from the documents for the cover they actually have, so people still on their old plan and people on yours use the same Roscoe.

Who sees the benefits pack?

Whoever HR gives it to. HR prints it or saves it as a PDF; Roscoe doesn't send it anywhere, and a buyer never signs in. It never holds an individual's claims.

Will Roscoe lower our premiums?

Roscoe doesn't price cover. It stops you paying for leavers, checks every invoice against who's enrolled, and starts each renewal 120 days out, so your broker has time to go to market.

What does it cost?

A flat fee per employee per month, paid by you and disclosed in full, plus implementation. It never depends on what cover is placed.

A change coming up?

Plan it before the date.

Tell us the date: the new plan starting, the move, or the data room opening. Everything is dated from it.
